If you were to call us may be a chance that we can fit you in that day.. It just depends on our schedule at the time. At certain times of the year, when we are not so busy, the possibility of getting a “same day” service is very high. In the warmer months, we usually do our schedule at least 7 days in advance. But there is still a chance that we can fit in last minute jobs if we get cancellations or reschedules.

So if you need a job done on that day, please call us. But please don’t be disappointed if we are not available that day.

We only take payments online with your credit or debit card. through our online booking.

All transactions use 256-bit encryption regular service we save your card on file and every time we service your yard we take payments out automatically.  .

No more running to the bank to pay for your gardening.

For all bookings we require a credit/debit card to secure the booking.

We will not be able to complete your booking without a card on file.

Please rest assured we will not charge your card until after the service is complete with in 3 business day.

We only mow when it is lightly raining. 

The gardener that servicing your lawns will decimetre if your yard can be mowed or if we need to reschedule to another day of the week or will be skipped until your next schedule.

Please note there is no cancellation fee if the gardener cannot make it due to extreme weather conditions.     

To maintain a healthy lawn, regular mowing is essential. For best results we recommend the following service intervals in ideal conditions.

Mid September to may –  every 1-2 weeks

June to Mid September – every 4 weeks

Yes we will but there are a few terms please read through these:

  1. All dog/s poop must be picked up ether by you or you can pick out dog poop picking up service it is $20 per 15 mins minimum charge if more time is needed we will try and contact you if there is no answer we will keep doing the service just adding more time on addition time is charged at $6 per 5 mins .
  2. When booking in please tell us you have a dog/s that will be left in the yard. We are not responsible no if anything happens to the dog/s or if your dog/s runs away
  3. We recommenced that you keep the dog/s inside.
  4. If you haven’t told us that you have dog/s you may have a cancellation fee.
  5. If you haven’t selected the pick up dog poop and we get there and no one is home to add the service on we will tire to call you and if no answer the service will be cancel and you will get a cancellation fee.       
  6. If the ground has lots of dog holes we will not mow the area for our own health and safely if it is too bad we will just cancel the service and you will get a  cancellation fee.
  7. We do not take dog poop with us all dog poop will go into your bin in a tied bag.

Yes you can cancel your service with us at any time within 1 business day.

If we can cover the gardeners time through re-allocating work, we will do so.

Please Note the cancellation fee is $50 if your service is below this amount you will be charge your full service fee.

This is entirely up to you – you can be there for the service, let the gardeners in and leave, or even not be there at all You are more than welcome to provide remote access to your gardeners by way of a key/lockbox, or give a key to the gardener or be home during the whole service. Please note that in general our gardeners work most efficiently when the property is empty of people and pets. 

Yes you can but you will need to wait until the next time you your regular booking is due to get your property serviced.

Our prices for lawn mowing are based size and ankle length.

If for any reason, you need to put the mowing of your lawns off for any period .

The next service maybe need extra work to get it under control.

Grass leaves consist of around water. So it makes sense to put that water back into the lawn rather than bagging it and throwing it in a land fill.

Grass clippings also contain:

  •  Nitrogen
  • Phosphorus
  • Potassium
  • small amounts of other trace elements

This is the same make up as most common lawn fertilisers. So regular mulching, in effect is like keeping your lawn well fed and watered. Regularly mulched lawns still benefit from using fertilisers. But they don’t need it as often. This saves you time and money!

Lawns that are mulched regularly tend to withstand the extremes of our Melbourne conditions much better than those that are not mulched.

Mulching helps to prevent browning due to frosts in winter. It also helps to retain vital moisture in the lawn in the heat of summer.

Lawn clippings when caught, bagged and dumped in large quantities take a long time to decompose. Another major benefit of mulching is that it keeps tonnes of lawn clippings from being dumped into landfill each year. So mulching is also beneficial for the environment.

Clients on our regular service are permanently booked in our system.

This means that if you become a regular client of Jumbuck Mowing, you won’t have to worry about your lawns…at all…EVER!

We do our best to do our regular clients lawns later in the week so they are looking their best for the weekend.

Regular clients also get priority service leading up to major public holiday periods such as Christmas and Easter.

After your booking has been confirmed, (which is usually within 1-2 weeks of your service), you will receive a confirmation email.

In this email will contain a summary of your booking, including a line that shows the date of service.

This will indicate when you should expect the gardener.

Please note that we do not do specific time’s however we don’t want you to wait around all day for the gardener we can get the gardener to text you when there are an hour away.

Also if the gardener get to your home and your not home we will start the service where we can and by the time we have finish that if your still not there we will leave and you will be charge the full service price.

We are aware that some areas around Melbourne might not have parking available.

During the online booking process there is a section to fill out all information regarding parking and access. If you call and book over the phone, one of our friendly office staff will enquire into whether parking is readily available.

If you only have paid parking in your area, please be advised this fee will be applied to your booking.

Our gardeners will exhaust all possible options to park in free areas, but if only ticketed spots are available they will have to park there and the fee will be added to your service.

If we cannot find a car park within 10 mins we will have to cancel the service and you may get a cancellation fee. 

If you are in a permit zone please have the permit available to the gardeners.

If you are not satisfied with your service, please email our office with details regarding what might have been an issue.

Please include all relevant photos of areas that might require more attention.

We will then proceed with our 100% satisfaction guarantee, and aim to provide a re-mow for any missed/unsatisfactory areas and/or look at an appropriate discount.

At the bottom of these emails will be a link to create and sign in to your account.

You can make changes to your service that will be flagged in the office.

If these changes don’t affect the gardener schedule, they will go ahead.

If your change clashes in the cleaner’s schedule, our friendly office staff will get in contact with you to try and reach a solution that benefits all parties.

Generally, yes. We always endeavour to match you with a gardener who will continue your service ongoing, however there are occasions such as public holidays, illnesses, emergencies and travel/holidays that may impact your usual gardener being sent to your property.

We always try our very best to give you plenty of notice of any changes made to your service, but unfortunately, there are things that are out of our control that may impact your service on the day booked.

If you have any strong preferences with regards to different gardeners, please be sure to let us know.

Yes, all of our gardeners are required to submit all checks before they commence any work.

Most gardeners have working with children checks too.

Once our gardeners have passed a phone interview with our office staff, they will be invited to have an interview with our director.

This is where he runs through all of our guidelines and procedures.

All of our gardeners must have an extensive gardening history to be able to work for us.

We generally work on Saturdays only to catch up on jobs that we had to put off during the week due to bad weather, but we do have some teams that work on Sundays, (for one-off bookings only). Depending on our gardener availability for locations, we may be able to book in a Sunday service.

Please note there will be a one-off extra fee of $90 for services booked on Sundays.

The office stuff will process your payment within 2 business days of completion of service. 

Yes we do with in 1-2 business day of service office stuff will complete payment and send out the receipt to your email address that you have provided when you booked in with us.
